The PCM-9572F, with its small overall size (8" x 5.75") and low
power, Pentium® III 500 MHz processor for data/graphics crunching
capability, outperforms all boards in its class. The low power
Pentium® III processor gives unparalleled reliability, perfect
for use in medical equipment and other long life applications.
By having the functionality of being a multimedia ready embedded
SBC that includes TV-out and DVD support, or a point-of-sale (POS)
capable control board with 8 digital I/Os and cash drawer support,
or a mini-server or gateway device, the PCM-9572F is truly an
industry leader.
Powerful Expansion Capability
There are numerous other features on the PCM-9572F that promote
performance and flexibility. With the PCM-9572F's PC/104-Plus
socket, multiple high-speed PCI sockets are always available as
is the increased flexibility and cost savings of being able to
use off-the-shelf add-on PC/104 modules, which Advantech can also
provide. For example, by simply adding a PC/104-Plus Ethernet
module, two additional LAN ports can easily be added. Advantech
is high on the new PCM-9572's ability to be right at home in such
a wide range of dynamic applications. We feel this might be the
most capable single board computer Advantech has ever manufactured,

A Host of Standard Features
This board includes all the features to empower multiple application
needs. The PCM-9572F can operate without a fan at temperatures
up to 60° C (140° F) and typically consumes fewer than 16 Watts
(with Pentium III 500 MHz and 64 MB DRAM). This SBC includes a
VGA/LCD controller that supports dual 24 bit TFT LCD or one 48-bit
TFT LCD, a PCI audio interface, a PCI Ethernet interface, and
8 digital inputs and outputs. It also supports wake on LAN, Modem.
Its design is based on the EBX form factor that supports the PC/104-Plus
interface for ISA/PCI module upgrades as well as having connectors
strategically located on the PCB for better and easier embedded
integration. Other on-board features include 2 LPT, 2 USB, Fast
IrDA and 4 serial ports: 3 RS-232 and 1 RS-232/422/485. The SSD
solution supports both DiskOnChip® 2000 and CompactFlash™ card.
We also offer a more price competitive version of the PCM-9572F
with a fanless, Celeron™ 400 MHz processor for applications that
don't need as intensive data and graphics handling capability,
but still want a top of the line board for their application.
Multimedia, DVD and TV-out Increase
Range of Applications
The PCM-9572F supports 3D audio and complies with the AC97 standard
and 3D engine VGA/LCD controller that support DVD play. The PCM-9572F
combines audio, TV-out, and network functions on a single board
computer. It provides TV-out that supports composite video connectors
and S-Video connectors via an optional cable kit, and a TV-out
function which supports NSTC and PAL formats.
