Advantech Showcases Innovative Embedded Computing at Electronica 2000

The world's leading electronics exhibition, Electronica 2000, will kick off from November 21st to 24th, 2000, in Munich, Germany. More than 3,500 companies will present their products at this biannual event, turning the Munich Trade Fair Centre into an international arena of innovation and trends. This year, Electronica 2000 will dedicate an area to embedded system solutions resulting from advances in microelectronics.

Advantech EC Group will present a total embedded computing solution with a special focus on our system integration service at Booth 160 in Hall A6. For board level products, we highlight a series of low-power and fan-less single board computers with various form factors and CPU power. The PCM-5823 with dual LAN capabilities is suitable for gateway device applications. The Pentium®III-based PCM-9572 employs the EBX form factor that combines PC/104-Plus to increase integration ease. The POS-561 adopts an industrial standard Flex ATX form factor with 100% compatibility to any off-the-shelf peripherals. Besides the POS-561, we also offer the LPX form factor board POS-563 with the same features as the POS-561.

For system level products, the medical-certified Panel PCs and modular series are the two themes. We are proud to announce the PPC-103, PPC-120M/123M, and PPC-150M/153M series for medical applications. These Panel PCs are UL2601/EN60601 approved and the low leakage current power supply define them as ideal and secure point-of-care solutions.

Another theme at this show is the complete Windows® CE embedded solution to meet different system integration needs. Our Windows® CE solution comes with a Flash disk with a pre-installed Windows® CE image and the Windows® CE license. In the meantime, the Web Automation Division will showcase the new WebCon series of firewall and communication gateway applications and a new home terminal proposition.

In addition to the exhibition, the ECG Pan-Europe Sales Conference will be held at the Munich Airport Mariott Hotel as a warm-up program on November 20th. The hotel is located in the centre of Freising. Hosted by ECG pan-Europe director Albert Chou, our regional sales and distributors will get together for new product announcements and exchange business and market information.
