has just added the PCM-9550FM to our product line. Expanding on
the PCM-9550F
previously introduced, this EBX form factor board adds video-in
and TV-out capability which supports both NTSC and PAL formats.
Like the PCM-9550F, there is also an optional Asiliant (C&T)
69030 chip with 4 MB built-in memory plus support for dual display
CRT-LCD or TV-LCD. The PCM-9550F/M both provide an impressive
array of standard multimedia features. These include AC97 3D surround
sound, a VGA/CRT controller Asiliant (C&T) 69000 with built-in
2 MB memory and a 36-bit LCD interface. This low-power, fanless
SBC expands the application possibilities and flexibility that
accommodate today's video intensive uses.
A
Well Rounded SBC
The PCM-9550F/M's
fast, low-power Pentium® MMX™ 266 MHz processor, EBX form factor,
digital input/output capability and multimedia features, make
it a great embedded platform to build an application around. The
low power consumption (typically 3 amps at 5 volts) and fanless
operation in temperatures up to 60° C (140° F), make this board
great for a variety of applications ranging from medical and POS
to full multimedia in the PCM-9550FM's case. The proven Pentium®
MMX 266 MHz processor and Intel® 430 chipset both offer guaranteed
long term supply and support (typically 5 years). This factor
is critical in the medical device field where licensing and product
approval are stricter.
The EBX form
factor provides an easy to integrate embedded layout as well as
a high-speed PCI bus for expansion modules such as 100 Mbps Ethernet
or fax/modem. Customers can also easily apply their own PCI devices
to this interface as well as other cost-effective off-the-shelf
additions. Other features include a mini PCI socket, 512 KB 2nd
level cache, 2 LPT, 2 USB, fast IrDA and 4 serial ports: 3 RS-232
and 1 RS-232/422/485. The SSD solution also supports both DiskOnChip®
2000 and CompactFlash™ card.
