WEB-2143 Web Scout, the 2nd generation WebCon 2000 series web
controller, this week. The WEB-2143 Web Scout inherits most features
of the
WEB-2040 with the additional advantage of three 10/100BaseT Ethernet
ports that makes it an ideal solution for firewall deployment.
The three Ethernet ports provide superior LAN access from router
to server and a spare port to a non-critical DMZ database device.
The core module of the Web Scout is Advantech's reputable Card
PC utilizing a 486/66MHz CPU with 32MB EDO memory, two RS-232
communication ports and one VGA video output. An optional internal
CompactFlash?memory module can carry up to 128MB. The chassis
dimensions, 166mm x 93.8mm x 35.8mm, provide a compact solution
for space-critical networking environments. Not only an internet
firewall , the WEB-2143 is also your best choice for SOHO All-In-One
small servers, SOHO routers, and small industrial controllers
and gateways.

The WEB-2143 enables your networking system to manage Data Acquisition Modules(DAM),
PLC(programmable Logic Controller) intelligently and remotely access control easily through a web browser.

of the core module of the WEB-2143 with expanding side-plates and holding deck, to accommodate more sophisticated OS or software applications.
