New Advantech AIMB-340 EmbeddedATX Form Factor Solution Brings Flexibility and Multimedia Power to Embedded Market

The AIMB-340 Socket 478 EmbeddedATX is Advantech’s first SBC based on the EmbeddedATX form factor. EmbeddedATX is a low profile form factor specification for embedded applications such as DVR, Gaming, kiosks, Point Of Sale (POS), thin clients and other high performance, low-profile embedded products needing the most current processor technologies in a low cost solution. EmbeddedATX is backward compatible with ATX designs for the rear I/O panel to reduce risk and preserve existing investments. It has the same dimensions and mounting hole locations as the microATX form factor as well.  PCI expansion is available via the PCI riser and the board supports both ATX and SFX power supplies.  (more...)
