 The
PCM-5862E Series's Clock Generator has been phased out and replaced
with a new one. The new part number will be reflected by changing
the A1 to an A2 in the current (2000) ECG Master Catalog ordering
information for the PCM-5862E. For example, the PCM-5862E-00A1
will be changed to the PCM-5862E-00A2. All PCM-5862E part numbers
with an A2 on the end, will reflect the boards with the new clock
generators.
The PCM-5862E-xxA2
boards will be phased in starting early in Q3. Some A1 boards
and A2 boards might appear side by side during this period. So
this is good information for all Advantech customers and sales
people.
The new Clock
Generator is fully compatible with all previous software and hardware
functions of the PCM-5862E Series. Advantech always feels making
our customers aware of changes is important. This eliminates confusion
and also helps to keep Advantech sales people better informed.
